New Democrat Coalition Welcomes New Executive Director, J.D. Grom

The New Democrat Coalition welcomed new Executive Director J.D. Grom to the organization this week. Grom replaces former Executive Director Adam Pase, who helped lead the Coalition for the last five and a half years.

“The New Democrat Coalition is pleased to welcome J.D. back to our team,” said New Democrat Coalition Chair Rep. Ron Kind (WI-03) “He has the policy expertise and the proven leadership ability to be an effective manager of the New Democrat Coalition as we seek to find commonsense solutions for the American people.”

Grom brings a wealth of experience and detailed policy knowledge to the Coalition. He served in the office of former New Democrat Rep. Melissa Bean (IL-08) for six years and most recently as a senior advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

“I am grateful to Rep. Kind and the New Democrat Coalition Members for the opportunity to help advocate for the New Dems’ pro-growth, fiscally-responsible agenda in the House,” Grom said.

A native of the Chicago area, J.D. is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
