New Democrat Coalition Welcomes Representative Kyrsten Sinema
Today, the New Democrat Coalition welcomed their 51st member to the coalition, Representative Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona’s 9th Congressional District.
“Kyrsten brings to Congress a history of working across the aisle to achieve results in the Arizona State Legislature. Her experience will help us continue our efforts to find a balanced approach to reducing our deficit while keeping our country competitive in the global economy. We look forward to collaborating with her to move our country forward,” said Rep. Ron Kind (WI-03), Chair of the New Democrat Coalition.
“The Coalition’s fresh approach to innovation and collaborative work will be key ingredients in our work to restore the middle class and our nation’s fiscal health. This diverse group of our nation’s problem solvers carry a proven strength that comes out of their fight for their communities. The New Democrat Coalition makes up more than one fourth of the House Democratic Caucus. Immediately following the 2012 cycle, the New Democrat Coalition welcomed 16 freshmen members.
