“As Members of Congress, we rely on the unique perspectives of stakeholders from across the country to inform our work. I’m grateful to all the industry leaders who joined New Dems today to share how key sectors of the American economy are responding to the new Administration’s agenda,” said Vice Chair for Outreach Salud Carbajal. “American businesses need certainty, not the chaos caused by Trump’s reckless trade wars and overall approach to trade policy. I look forward to continuing this dialogue and working with my New Dem colleagues to support domestic industries and stabilize the economy.”
"Tariffs can be an important tool to support American workers and manufacturing. But the sweeping tariffs enacted by President Trump will not protect American jobs. Instead, they will hurt American farmers, families and businesses,” said Vice Chair for Policy Nikki Budzinski. “I’d like to thank all the stakeholders for sharing their expertise and experiences today, all of which are invaluable as New Dems continue our work to push back on the Administration’s harmful policies and offer an alternative, pragmatic path forward to the American people."
