The Fly-In | Episode 19 | "Holding Pattern"

In Episode 19, “Holding Pattern” – Congressman Marc Veasey (TX-33) and Congresswoman Sara Jacobs (CA-51) join the pod virtually one week after the start of the Republican Shutdown, while House Republicans continue their extended vacation to block any attempts at reopening the government. Veasey and Jacobs discuss the state of play and potential path forward to end the shutdown, why Democrats are fighting to protect health care and lower costs, and what the Trump Administration has done to further harm federal workers during the shutdown. The Members also discuss cracks forming in the Republican strategy and react to a clip of Speaker Mike Johnson lying about the Republicans’ attacks on healthcare for working families.
