Make government work better for the American people
- Problem: Too many Americans see government as the problem instead of part of the solution. With trillions of dollars spent every year, it is unsustainable to have a government the American people lack confidence in.
- Solution: The federal government should be efficient, effective, and easy to engage. The NDC believes Congress should:
- Modernize Congress to make it work more efficiently and effectively in a way that promotes consensus building.
- Make federal agencies more accountable and accessible to Americans
- Spend tax dollars wisely and responsibly
