New Dem Chair-Elect Schneider Congratulates Democratic Committee Leaders for 119th Congress

Eight New Dem Members will serve as Ranking Members, including two New Dems who will serve in their positions for the first time

Today, New Democrat Coalition Chair-Elect Brad Schneider issued a statement following House Democratic Caucus elections to select the Committee Ranking Members for the 119th Congress.

“New Dems congratulate all the Ranking Members elected today, who will no doubt lead their colleagues in advancing thoughtful policy solutions to address the issues that matter most to the American people,” said Chair-Elect Schneider. “We are particularly proud of our New Dem colleagues, including returning Ranking Members Reps. Joe Morelle, Adam Smith, Brendan Boyle, Gregory Meeks, Jim Himes, and Rick Larsen and newly elected Ranking Members Reps. Angie Craig and Gerry Connolly. 

“While Democrats will not hold the gavels in the 119th Congress, we will continue to roll up our sleeves and work with anyone to deliver for the American people. New Dems look forward to collaborating with these exceptional leaders to work across the aisle whenever possible and push back on extremism wherever it turns up.”
