New Democrat Coalition Leadership Endorses Rep. Madeleine Dean for Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus
Today, New Democrat Coalition Leadership Members endorsed Madeleine Dean (PA-04) for Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus. New Dem Chair Suzan DelBene released the below statement on the endorsement:
“The leadership team of the New Democrat Coalition is excited to endorse our colleague and fellow New Dem Rep. Madeleine Dean for Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus. Since her election in 2018, she has delivered for her community and for our country. From her role as an impeachment manager to defend our democracy to her work on the Financial Services and Judiciary Committees to ensure we live in a just society that creates opportunities for all – she’s made a difference in Americans’ lives. We are certain that Rep. Dean will help guide our Caucus during this next chapter with clear eyes and a steady hand.
“As a pragmatic Member with coalition-building experience, we are confident she will ensure every Member's voice is heard. She has served on the NDC's Inflation Working Group and policy task forces, and Rep. Dean knows our Coalition’s priorities. Rep. Dean also understands the needs of our battleground Members and will ensure that New Dems continue to have a strong voice in the Vice Chair position and at the leadership table.”
Elected to Congress in 2018, Rep. Madeleine Dean currently sits on the Financial Services Committee and the Judiciary Committee. She served as an impeachment manager during the second impeachment of former President Trump and serves as Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Women’s Caucus.
