Chair DelBene Statement on the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022
Today, New Democrat Coalition Chair (NDC) Suzan DelBene (WA-01) released the below statement on the announcement of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.
“Since the beginning of negotiations last year, the New Democrat Coalition has pushed for a budget reconciliation bill that lowers health care and energy costs while making important investments to tackle climate change. Passing such a bill will also help our nation tackle the most urgent economic threat facing the country: inflation.
“New Dems look forward to reviewing the details of the plan and working with our colleagues in the House and the Senate to achieve these goals.”
In June, the New Democrat Coalition released an Action Plan to Fight Inflation and called on Congressional Leadership and President Biden to pass a budget reconciliation bill that lowers health care and energy costs and reduces the deficit to help lower inflation.
